Temirbek Zhurgenov and modernizftion culture of the Kazakh people

Abstract

The article presents the contribution of T.K. Zhurgenov, a prominent statesman and public figure, teacher and journalist in the development of education, culture and literature in Kazakhstan. Being the People’s Commissar of Education of the Kazakh SSR T. Zhurgenov identified such main areas of work as the education system, the development of art and literature. His works reflect the enormous creative work of the state and workers in the field of cultural construction, a profound transformation of the spiritual life of the people. He was a remarkable researcher and chronicler of the difficult stage of the cultural revolution in Kazakhstan in the 1930s.
