Abstract

The article discusses the issue of terminological usage, which is relevant for the modern stage of development of document management. A comparative analysis of the terms “document” and “record” is provided, the essence of the evolution of terms and concepts from “document management” to “data management” is revealed. Using the example of six foreign countries, the normative and methodological foundations for regulating the field of document management are considered. The main trends in the development of document management in the context of digitalization have been identified and modulated.
