Constitutional and legal significance of the Declaration of State Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan

This article examines the constitutional and legal process of establishing the state independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Particular attention is paid to the adoption of the Declaration of State Independence of Kazakhstan, which became the legal and political basis for the country's sovereignty. The article explores the preconditions for the adoption of the declaration, related to socioeconomic and political changes, as well as the role of this document in the formation of the new statehood. Its significance for strengthening national identity, national unity, and the development of democratic principles is analyzed. The continuity between the Declaration and the subsequent Constitutional Law "On the State Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan" of December 16, 1991, is emphasized. In conclusion, the author notes that the adoption of the declaration became the starting point of the modern stage of Kazakhstan's history and a symbol of the people's aspiration for freedom, independence, and the responsible choice of their own path of development.
