The article reconstructs the multifaceted political biography of Akhmet Beremzhanov, a prominent statesman and public figure of the early 20th century, based on a comprehensive analysis of documents retrieved from the archival funds of Kazakhstan and Russia. The materials forming the source base of this study allow for a systematic examination of the subject's personal evolution — from a professional lawyer to a national-level politician. Analyzing Akhmet Beremzhanov's parliamentary activities in the I and II State Dumas, the authors consider his initiatives aimed at resolving the agrarian question and democratizing the judicial system as the foundation of his political biography. Furthermore, the article analyzes his statist position during the period following the February Revolution of 1917, specifically his administrative and legal roles as the Provisional Government Commissioner for the Turgay district and as a member of the Alash Orda government, from the perspective of political anthropology. By introducing archival documents into scientific discourse, the continuity of his strategic tactics and legal views in defending the interests of the Steppe region (the Kazakh Steppe) is clarified. Commemorating the 155th anniversary of Beremzhanov's birth, the study reevaluates the historical experience of the national political elite through the prism of modern state-building and parliamentary traditions. The findings offer significant scientific insights for researchers of the political history of the Kazakh intelligentsia in the early 20th century.
