This article explores the development of the subdiscipline: electronic diplomatics, as an auxiliary discipline to archival science. The author examines the topic in the literature and discusses the subject, scope, and key objectives of this diplomatics. New approaches in archival science are evolving from practice to theory, but the introduction of electronic diplomatics into university programs is essential. The article presents the "Electronic Document Management" – educational program at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw as an example. This program is based on lectures on modern history and administration, while specialized courses focus on electronic documents, office work, databases, and electronic document management systems. Key subjects cover the legal foundations and application examples of electronic document management programs. A special role is envisaged for the "Enterprise Content Management" class. One-third of the student workload consists of practical training - internships in offices. The author argues that, thanks to the implementation of the educational program, a reverse process will be formed: from theory and didactics to practice, precisely through the professional and scientific development of graduates.
