Features of Archive Management in Jordanian

Abstract

In the context of comprehensive research and investigation, it has been discovered that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan does not host a «Unified national archive institution» responsible for managing archives uniformly. Instead, there are five separate institutions responsible for archives, each of which employs different approaches in archive management. These institutions are: The Royal Hashemite Documentation Center, The Department of the National Library, The Center for Documents and Manuscripts / the University of Jordan and The Royal Jordanian Geographic Center. The article deals with the history, development and main activities of archival institutions in Jordan.
