Strategic management and foresight technologies as key competencies in organizational development management

Abstract

One of the main directions being considered by the participants of the II Congress of Archivists is “Institutionalization and Effective Management of Archives.” This topic is relevant to improving the operations of archival institutions. The article examines the concepts of strategic management and foresight technologies, as well as the advantages of their application in archival practices. Four major challenges that significantly influence changes in the archival field are identified, and it is discussed how these challenges pose new tasks for archives. Key trends actively developing in the archival sector and the main technologies that will affect it in the near future are also reviewed. The use of foresight technologies is proposed, which will enable archives not only to predict future trends but also to develop long-term strategies that respond flexibly to changes in the external environment. This is an innovative approach to archive management, ensuring that archives play a crucial role in preserving historical heritage and shaping the future information society.
