Contribution of Kazakh graduates of Kazan University to the formation of the statehood of Kazakhstan

The article is devoted to the study of the biographies of Akhmed Kurbanbekovich Beremzhanov, Zhansultan Chuvakovich Seidalin, Validkhan Sharafetdinovich Tanachev, Salykh Ayukinovich Amanjolov, Bazarbai Mametovich Mametov, Isa Taumysovich Kashkinbaev – graduates of the Imperial Kazan University, who contributed to the formation of the statehood of Kazakhstan in the early 20th century, when socio-political conditions for the development of national self-consciousness of non-Russian peoples were formed in Russia. A study of archival materials contained in the Kazan University fund of the State Archives of the Republic of Tatarstan was conducted, data related to the biographical information of a number of graduates of the Law Faculty of Kazan University were clarified, materials concerning the participation of Kazan University graduates in socio-political movements, in particular, in the Muslim movement, in the Alash movement, in the work of the State Duma of the Russian Empire, the Alash autonomy were studied. The article concludes that graduates of Kazan University, especially its law faculty, took an active and direct part in the development of the project to create the Alash Autonomy – a national-territorial entity within the planned federal Russian state, and also contributed to the state building of the Soviet state. The results of their activities are undoubtedly related to the construction of the modern statehood of Kazakhstan.
