Abstract

The article analyzes the activities of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan as a consultative and advisory body under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main directions of the Assembly’s activities are revealed. The Assembly, created in 1995, became a platform for discussing issues of maintaining stability and interethnic harmony in a multiethnic society. The promotion of the principles of «Unity – in diversity», «We are different – we are equal» is carried out through social projects of the Assembly’s public structures. This contributes to the development of volunteerism, charity, involvement of young people in science, education, leadership programs, and expansion of the scope of application of the state language. The article presents the achievements and main areas of work of the public structures of the Assembly at the present stage.
