Considering the main directions of the Center’s work, on the basis of specific sources the questions of reception of documents from special state archives, their placement, determination of physical condition of documents, scientific and technical processing and declassification have been studied. In addition, the significance of social and legal requests from descendants of victims of political repression has been revealed.
