Analysis of Electronic Document Management System: A case study of Documentolog and Directum

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the development and implementation of electronic document management systems (EDMS) integrated with artificial intelligence technologies, using the case of the Kazakhstani company Documentolog GL and its solution, the Documentolog AI Platform. The platform makes a significant contribution to the automation and intellectual enhancement of document management processes in both the public and private sectors of the economy. The relevance of the study is determined by the import substitution policy pursued in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the strategic development of national information technology projects aimed at strengthening economic independence and ensuring information security. In the context of reducing dependence on foreign EDMS products and increasing the competitiveness of domestic solutions, particular importance is attached to the analysis and optimization intelligent document management systems. The study addresses key factors associated with the growing interest in the application of artificial intelligence technologies in document management, the increasing role of intelligent solutions in the modernization of EDMS, and the need to examine national practices of implementing AI-integrated systems in order to enhance managerial efficiency through the automation of document workflow processes. A comparative analysis of the functionalities of the domestic AI platform Documentolog and the Russian AI system Directum has been conducted.
